About Saint Etienne
Named after a French soccer club, the English indie dance group Saint Etienne started off as a rather cliché dance group, but moved on in more interesting direction. Saint Etienne have famously used found dialogue, mostly from 60s British cinema, later recording more atmospheric electronica, thus completing the London sound of the 60s fusion with contemporary electronica, the underlying concept of the band.
